Key Insight
The GridCore platform follows a quarterly release cycle. Each release is identified by a major.minor.patch version number. Major releases introduce architectural changes, minor releases add features and library updates, and patch releases address specific bug fixes.
Version 2.4.0 - February 2026
New Features
- Direct Liquid Cooling Templates: New system library templates for cold plate and rear-door heat exchanger configurations. Available for modular building and building + skid deployment models. Includes CDU sizing logic and piping interface definitions.
- Enhanced Redundancy Modeling: The solution builder now supports mixed redundancy configurations within a single facility, allowing different zones to have different redundancy tiers (e.g., 2N for critical IT and N+1 for support infrastructure).
- Seismic Zone Configuration: New input parameter for seismic design category (SDC) with automatic adjustment of structural templates, equipment anchorage specifications, and vibration isolation requirements based on selected zone.
System Library Updates
- Added 14 new UPS models from three manufacturers to the validated equipment library
- Updated chiller performance data for latest high-efficiency models with R-515B refrigerant
- New cable tray and pathway components for high-density fiber distribution
Known Issues Resolved
- Fixed BOM export formatting issue where quantities for multi-zone configurations were not aggregating correctly
- Resolved template rendering delay when switching between deployment models with large component libraries loaded
Version 2.3.0 - November 2025
New Features
- Campus Master Planning Module: New workflow for multi-building campus projects. Supports site-level utility distribution planning, inter-building infrastructure routing, and phased building placement with capacity allocation.
- Enhanced BOM Export: BOMs can now be exported in structured formats compatible with common procurement platforms. Includes vendor part numbers, lead time estimates, and specification sheet links.
- Partner Template Marketplace: Partner-contributed templates are now available directly within the solution builder workflow, with compatibility indicators and version tracking.
Rule Engine Updates
- New clearance validation rules for rear-access equipment in high-density rack configurations
- Updated electrical protection coordination rules to support arc-reduction maintenance switching
- Added water flow balancing validation for multi-CRAH chilled water distribution systems
Version 2.2.0 - August 2025
New Features
- 3D Visualization Improvements: Enhanced rendering of cable pathways and piping routes in the 3D viewer. Support for cross-section views and system-specific visibility filters.
- Commissioning Workflow Integration: Commissioning checklists are now generated automatically based on the configured solution, pre-populated with equipment-specific test procedures and acceptance criteria.
Template Updates
- Refreshed container zone templates with updated dimensions for latest container models
- New modular building templates for 2-module and 4-module configurations optimized for 15kW/rack density
- Updated building + skid templates with revised structural load calculations
Version 2.1.0 - May 2025
New Features
- PUE Estimation Tool: Built-in PUE calculator using 8,760-hour simulation with location-specific weather data. Supports comparison of multiple cooling strategies for the same project.
- Proposal Document Generator: Automated generation of RFP-ready proposal documents from configured solutions, including scope narratives, specification summaries, and schedule frameworks.
Tip
Projects created in versions prior to 2.3.0 should be migrated to the current template library to ensure compatibility with the latest rule engine and component library updates. Migration is initiated from the project settings panel and preserves all custom configurations.
